Why we do it

Across the UK, hundreds of thousands of tonnes of clothing are thrown away every year. A huge share of that is children’s clothes that have simply been outgrown – not worn out.
Upsized gives families across the UK a simple way to pass on clothes their children have outgrown, access the next size up, cut waste, save money, and support meaningful community impact.

The Upsized Community Impact Fund turns swap passes and supporter memberships into practical projects that support children, families, and community initiatives across the UK.
Several times a year we run a supporters-only vote. You’ll help decide whether we back things like children’s support, emergency clothing support, community mini-grants or school sustainability projects.
